“Untitled” Ladies, 2020, Acrylic on Canvas
This set of paintings is a small portion of a larger collection of paintings I had done in 2020. Quarantine allowed a lot of time for self reflection and discovery. The three portraits of women display the various attitudes taken on throughout my self-isolation.
The painting of this woman is an ode to my rediscovery of my love for fashion. Not that I had ever truly lost interest in the subject in the first place, however quarantine allowed me time to investigate deeper into who I am. Fashion is a way for me to represent myself, my interests, and my style. This woman in the painting gives an attitude of not caring what others think about her, and truly owning herself and her confidence.
