SheZine 2022 asks the question: “What does it mean to be a ‘feminist’ today?”. My goal was to lift up the history of the diverse feminist movement in the United States to support people in their exploration of that question. This zine aims to educate all people on what it means to be an inclusive modern-day feminist. It shines a light on the stories of working class, women of color, queer, and trans women in the U.S.
The cover is made from a women's hygiene product wrapper to connect. The book is hand bound with string backing. The content and concept was inspired by designer Sherie Edgar. My goal is to respect her original work's integrity, while updating the content and putting my own twist on it.
