Devoured Femininity: Flesh and Orange is my interpretation of what it feels like to be a modern day woman who is expected to confide to misogynistic and sexist standards, whether that's physical or mental. In this series I capture a metaphorical representation of women taking back
their power by tarring apart and devouring the expectations of society, specifically social media platforms and beauty standards amongst them. I use an orange as the main subject of the photoshoot because the fruit represents a sexualized perspective of women and femininity.
